Tekk Challenge 2018

Once again, the pupils in Year 5 have been working very hard over the past 6 weeks alongside STEM ambassadors Jason and Farah from ‘Peglar Yorkshire’. The children were tasked with setting up a business, creating logos, designing uniforms and building a bridge using lollipop sticks and match sticks only! On 27th June the two winning teams from Kingfisher ‘Diamond Builders’ and ‘Easy Go Bridges’ entered the final competition against 20 other primary and secondary schools from around South Yorkshire. The children had to give a presentation in front of a panel of judges and answer questions too. Easy Go Bridges were awarded  the ‘Planning Award’ and Diamond Builders were awarded the ‘Construction Award’ – well done to all the children, STEM ambassadors and staff who took part.
