Science activities at Kingfisher

As pert of their science work, children in year 6 have been making blood! The different ingredients resembled the varying parts of our blood such as the red and white blood cells, platelets and plasma. The children put them together to see how they reacted and to understand their important roles.

Meanwhile, in year 4 the children have been learning about the parts of the digestive system. They created their own life size diagram using craft materials and drawing around each other and then had a great time labelling it!
They also made a model of a digestive system and found out what happens to their food as it moves through the body. They thought it was particularly disgusting finding out about sick and where our food ends up!
