Strider the walk to school mascot came to visit Kingfisher last week to celebrate KIngfisher achieving 2nd place across the whole of Doncaster in the Walk to school challenge. Take a look at the photos as the children arrived at school.

Thank you to all the friends and families who attended the summer fair. The weather was perfect and everyone had fun playing games, eating cakes and ice creams and playing on the inflatables. We raised a total of £1142.50 which is fantastic – well done everyone.

The children across school took part in the annual sports day. Thank you to all the families that supported and came to watch the many events.  

A group of children represented Kingfisher to the annual Astrea Olympics which was held in Sheffield this term. The children were a credit to the school and worked very hard in all activities.

The children in FS2 had a fun morning with a visit from a variety of farm animals linked to their classroom learning.

Year 5 have had some great fun combining our maths learning of converting measurements with smoothies. We first had to convert our different ingredient measures so that it was easier to get a more accurate measurement. Once we had done that, we used the scales to weigh out our different …
